Challenge

Like many businesses, Kieffer Sanitation was facing employee shortages and struggling to fill all of their open positions, despite offering incredible benefits and incentives including a $7500 sign on bonus.

Strategy

After speaking with Kieffer Sanitation to determine what their current strategy was and what they were seeing for results, RSA formulated a strategy to use Google Display ads to target job seekers in the Rapid City market with eye-catching artwork featuring the $7500 Sign & Stay on bonuses available at Kieffer Sanitation.

Execution

Our designers worked to create animated ads touting the $7500 sign & stay bonus available for new employees. Utilizing A/B testing, we created two different designs to target our users. We kicked off our strategy with a 3-week campaign. After the initial campaign, Kieffer saw outstanding results, including an over 1400% increase in traffic to the Careers page of their website. Kieffer Sanitation saw a noticeable uptick in quality candidate flow and hired four people to join their team. The success of our first campaign led us to run three more campaigns utilizing the same strategy and artwork over the next 4 months.  

Results

The first 3-week campaign was wildly successful, increasing total traffic to the website by 83% and traffic to the Careers page by over 1,416%, amounting to nearly 3,000 additional users compared to the previous three weeks. Over the next few months we ran three more campaigns with equally outstanding results. In total, all four campaigns received:

  • Ad Impressions: 2.2 Million
  • Visits to the website from ads: 12,262
  • Increase in Careers page visits: 2,223%

The increase in awareness and website traffic led to an increase in applicants and allowed Kieffer Sanitation to fill the majority of their open positions.
