RSA has been working with the Aberdeen Hotel Alliance and their summer tourism campaigns to encourage families to visit Aberdeen on their summer vacations. Our digital campaigns have consisted of both static and animated display and social ads, as well as YouTube pre-roll advertising throughout the summer months targeting families with children and encouraging them to plan a trip to Aberdeen. These summer campaigns resulted in 5.7 million ad impressions, over 77,000 video watches, and over 32,000 visits to the website. Overall, traffic to the website increased by 18% over the previous year.

In addition to our tourism ad campaigns, we also continue to run a Featured Hotel of the Month promotion. Each month features a different hotel from the alliance through targeted Facebook and email campaigns. Each campaign utilizes a feature video for the hotel as well as static photo ads directing users to a feature story about the hotel on the website where users can also sign up to win a 2 night stay at the feature hotel each month. In the first seven months of the campaign, the campaign has solicited over 4,500 contest entries, and added 980 new subscribers to the existing email database.
