Dakotah Steakhouse

It's finally open! After months of planning and hard work, Dakotah Steakhouse in Rapid City is now serving some of the finest meals and drinks in the area. We're proud to have been chosen to help this new cowboy-chic restaurant develop its image. We started with a logo, and then we carried the coppery, western elements through on the lunch and dinner menus, wine menu, kid's menu, table toppers, business cards, print ads and billboards. Together with a new website, we've created a strong, consistent branding theme for this exciting new business.

Sioux Empire Fair

This year marks the 72nd Annual Sioux Empire Fair in Sioux Falls, SD. It's also Robert Sharp & Associates's first opportunity to serve as the Fair's marketing agency. Based on their 2011 theme, "Watch Us Shine," we've created vibrant new catalog covers, print ads, and posters, and there's still more to come!

Black Hills BBQ Festival

The Barbeque Festival, hosted by the Central States Fair, was a new event for the Black Hills this year. They needed an original theme to help promote the four day event. Using rich burgundy and gold colors along with a hint of "lingering smoke," we created a series of posters, tickets, print ads, and electronic billboards for the Fair team.

Casa Real

A restaurant in Rapid City needed a little help with making their menus appealing. There's no better way to promote great Mexican food than to show it. We've revamped Casa Real's restaurant and bar menus to include food shots and better item organization. We also designed inserts for their menus to focus on their specials.

South Dakota Lottery

More scratch games equals more winners and more fun! With each new ticket design, our goal is to create a clean, professional look that conveys excitement and entertainment. Our recent projects include a floor sticker which displays a Chevrolet Camaro and the opportunity to win it, a wobbler with a classy game called Black II, a general lottery banner featuring the multiple games you can play, and a POS piece which has the latest exciting game, "Black Hills Gold," as the focal point.

Jolly Lane

With spring fast approaching, Jolly Lane Greenhouse wanted to pursue a billboard advertising campaign. We created three new billboard designs for them. Bright and colorful images of flowers and vegetables were used to showcase Jolly Lane's variety and selection of products for two of the billboards. The third billboard was developed to highlight their vast assortment of trees. We chose a clean, contemporary design to emphasize the professionalism and expertise customers can expect from Jolly Lane.

2011 Addys

This year, Robert Sharp & Associates volunteered to develop a theme for the Addys, the annual awards show for Black Hills advertising. We created a concept inspired by the popular AMC television show, Mad Men. The 2011 MADADDYS, as it was named, was a fun opportunity for our team to create a centralized design and additional materials such as posters and programs. All designs and time spent working on the project were donated by RSA.

South Dakota Lottery

Throughout the year, the South Dakota Lottery continuously launches fun and exciting new games. Our goal has been to design Point-of-Sale items that convey the entertainment and appeal of playing Lottery games. Whether it's a poster, shelf talker, double-sided cling sticker or ceiling card, we craft each piece to be eye-catching when displayed at retail stores across the state of South Dakota.

McDonald's

McDonald's is a proud supporter of Rapid City's hockey team, The Rapid City Rush. This year, we helped McDonald's create promotional materials for a special event inviting residents to meet the players. Rush players gave autographs to parents and children and McDonalds donated tickets to the players for free food.

As many of our clients have discovered, Facebook is a great advertising tool. We have helped many individuals and businesses develop a strong presence for their brand or product on Facebook. One of the most important factors we have assisted with is generating an avatar, a picture that best represents the person or business as a whole and gives customers a nice first impression as well as a visual association.

Big Cheese Pizza

Big Cheese Pizza, a new pizzeria and sports pub, recently opened in Sioux Falls and we were consulted to produce some high quality print materials. Our first task was developing in-store menus and to-go menus. With a wealth of experience designing menus, we met the challenge and produced a pair of attractive, detailed products. After those items were completed, we incorporated the design into other areas such as Facebook.

McDonald's

The most difficult project to work on when you're hungry is a McDonald's project. Staring at juicy burgers and fluffy Egg McMuffins can make your mouth water and your mind wander away from designing. After a quick Big Mac break, we resumed our design task and developed a billboard campaign featuring attractive food with catchy phrases.

Kelly's Frozen Yogurt

Mostly Chocolates remodeled their store to accommodate a new self-serve yogurt section. After several brainstorming sessions for Kelly's Frozen Yogurt, production on the logo and signage began. We mocked up actual in-store previews for these pieces and moved straight into development

South Dakota Community Foundation

The South Dakota Community Foundation is a statewide, public foundation whose mission is to promote philanthropy through South Dakota. We ran a series of ads in the South Dakota Magazine and chose this theme to create consistency with message and design, by simply adapting the photo and background to the change of seasons.

Healthy Vision Week

As an annual event for the Norther Plains Eye Foundation, Healthy Vision week was the first of many events that was brought to RSA for a revamp. It required a fresh, professional look with a cohesive design that followed through to all components, including billboards, collateral and television.

Health KICC

Health KiCC (Better Health for Kids with Chronic Conditions) is a program funded through federal and state monies that provides financial assistance for procedures, treatments, medications and travel reimbursement for children with chronic health conditions.

North Dakota Teen Driver

As part of a statewide high school driver awareness campaign, we worked with ND DOT to create a user-friendly, easily accessible website to house a wealth of information for North Dakota teenagers. We then developed a plan to market the site to our target audience by designing special school kits with a general assembly video, Power Point presentation with speaker notes, Question and Answer talking points, contest rules and scoring sheet, and marketing components for self printing, including banners, locker signs, and posters.

North Dakota Server Training

The unique idea to develop a Server Training Program was born to promote education and awareness in the alcohol service industry of the repercussions of over-serving patrons or serving anyone underage. We designed a logo, rack card, poster, flip chart, customized flash drive, and PowerPoint presentation to appeal to servers and establishment owners. It was then distributed statewide to judges, community leaders, and establishment owners to use as training for their employees.

Kids & Chrome

Kids & Chrome is an annual, upscale fundraising event held during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, to benefit children's charities in the Black Hills. Each year we develop a cohesive design for all collateral materials including invitations, sponsorship forms, advertising slicks and auction catalog.

South Dakota Health IT Summit

The South Dakota Health IT Summit was developed through the South Dakota Department of Health in a response to the new wave of citizens managing their own health records. South Dakota was chosen as a test state by the US Department of Health and is considered groundbreaking in technology and information regarding personal health records.

Black Hills Beauty College

Black Hills Beauty College has campuses in Rapid City and Sioux Falls. To create a consistent identity we chose to create a universally appealing feel for their new branding strategy. The design was kept clean, fresh, and edgy with a light tan color palette and young female face. This simple, yet effective design was then used throughout all campus materials.
