Sprinkler Guys
The Challenge:
Most of us have heard the expression, “trying to make a dollar out of 15 cents”. Whether you have or haven’t, rest assured that you’ve probably had to do it at least once or twice
In today’s economy it is imperative that all businesses maximize their value in the mind of their clients, this is especially true in the marketing arena. So when the Sprinkler Guys came in to ask us what we could do to make their Home Show a success, the pressure was on. The Home Show is their initial indicator of how the rest of their season will play out, and our success, relies on their success
The Solution:
Cross promotion (and a whole lot of elbow grease)! Some people just aren’t willing to negotiate, even when the payoff is mutually beneficial – what can I say – some people’s kids. Thankfully, some people realize that giving a break can lead to a break. Such was the case with Agrivestments, who saved us hundreds of dollars on the grass seed we needed in exchange for taking and distributing their promotional information. We also saved money by placing stickers on, and stuffing all 3,000 baggies with our discounted grass seed.
Our concept was a 60’s style booth that boasted a free grass promotion. We needed tie dye t-shirts, posters, banners, 300 pounds of grass seed, 3,000 baggies, 4,000 fliers, and 3,000 custom tie dye stickers, radio production and placement, and we needed it all for under $4,200.
The Results:
We pulled it off, on time, and on budget. The Sprinkler Guys looked great, and everyone got a kick out of their theme – not to mention the free grass seed. In fact, they were so interested in the grass seed that the Sprinkler Guys asked for the distributor we used and are thinking of carrying the product.
