Summer Interns and the return of "The Hair"

We have some fresh faces hanging out around the RSA offices this summer. Three student interns from SDSU – Kandi Moulder, Kim Hartman and Tiffany Oliver - are being put to the test and learning the ins and outs of marketing along the way.

The Video Department is also full of new activity: Nate Haggerty, a part-time videographer and editor, is lending his talents to a variety of projects while taking advanced Final Cut Pro courses, and former Production Director Tracy "Luscious Locks" Mailloux has returned from his studies in Chicago to help us out over the summer. Tracy is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Post Production and Special Effects from Columbia College of Chicago.

AMCA Conference

Robert & Stacey Sharp attended the AMCA conference in West Palm Beach on May 2-6. In addition to jet lag and fantastic tans, Robert and Stacey brought back some interesting ideas on successfully building a brand and covertly marketing to the biggest generation since the Baby Boomers: tweens.

That Ad is Terrible!

During the month of June we hosted our first public Good Ad, Bad Ad contest on Facebook. We invited our followers to post examples of really great and really terrible ads for a chance to win $50. Our social media experiment helped increase our core base of Facebook followers - and we got a kick out of the entries people came up with. Read more about the contest and see the winning ads.

Social Media Training

The Black Hills Home Builders Association hosted a social media seminar on June 23 for their members, with RSA as the presenter. Kyle McCabe led the presentation, offering tips and practical advice for integrating social media into an overall marketing strategy. Interested in having us speak to a group? Drop us a line!
