No More Bullies

by Jack Sitch,
Video Production Associate

Since last time you heard from me, the spotlights may have dimmed and the platitudes may have faded away, but the fun and creativity have continued to flow in the video department. And those darn bullies…well, we’ll get to that shortly.

Sean, Nate and I have continued to create television and web videos for a wide range of new and long-time clients, while attempting to pass along some knowledge to our Black Hills State University interns Brooks Uecker and Kris Kjerengtroen. We recently took a production team of four to the Community Health Center of the Black Hills in Rapid City, and with the assistance of Brooks and Kris, we produced fantastic Community Health PSAs that are playing locally on broadcast and cable outlets.

The recent web video highlighting the incredible home and property of Dr. William ‘Frank’ Hook of Hot Springs has not only brought much deserved attention to the home, but also brought some attention to another service offered by BBM Studios’ Video Production department. The video was shot on the Panasonic DVX 100B, edited on Final Cut Pro, and the voice over was provided by yours truly.

Now let’s talk about bullies. Pioneer Credit Counseling enlisted BBM Studios’ Video Production department to create a series of TV commercials for their nationwide services. Sean stepped up with a creative storyline about a heroine from Pioneer Credit that stops credit company bullies from calling night and day. The first 60 second spot in the series," No More Bullies”, was shot in HD on the Canon 5D and edited on Final Cut Pro, and has a film style and feel. This TV spot relies heavily on local actors creating a believable story, including Ryan Hall, Art O’Cull, Holli Miner, Allison Brewster and some bully named Jack… He seems kind of familiar to me. Art, Holli and Allison all come from Fierce Modeling in Rapid City.

If you haven’t been by the office recently, or taken in the Gator or Snake shows at Reptile Gardens in the past few weeks, you might not realize our ‘gator boy’ Tracy Mailloux is back for the summer. Still as shaggy and sassy as ever… But it’s good to have him back. Stop by and tell him “Hi.”

On a serious note for all of us, we want to pass along our condolences and prayers to Peggy Coyne and the entire Coyne family. Sean’s dad, Dr. Patrick Coyne, recently passed away from complications due to heart surgery and this is a great loss for his family, co-workers and the entire community. Dr. Coyne recently appeared for us in a ‘seatbelt’ commercial for the ND DOT "Pick Your Click” campaign. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Coyne family during this time.

Thanks for being a part of the RSA family and Sean, Nate, Tracy and I look forward to working and collaborating with you in the future.

Kindest Regards,

Jack Sitch
