RSA Happenings
Goodbye to 2009. Hello 2010!
It has been a year where the harder we worked, the luckier we got. We graciously accepted many industry accolades and awards on behalf of our clients' projects - a testament to the very talented and hard-working people who make up the team at RSA, and something that collectively makes us all very proud. We've come a long way since that garage we started in 18 years ago. 2009 saw our biggest growth yet; with a current team of 24, we've become one of the largest agencies in South Dakota.
Much of our new growth has come through the RSA Interactive division. The Internet has enabled us to take our Midwestern work ethic and outstanding creativity as far away as Australia. Search engine marketing, e-commerce, and social networking are things that every company should come to embrace at some level this year, if they're not already doing so. Some of our current Internet clients are achieving success levels with 55% (and higher) of new sales being generated on the web - a figure that, five years ago, was zero.
The team at RSA has developed expertise in communicating via the web through emails, blogs, Twitter and Facebook activity, etc. But as I write this intro, I'm reminded of what my colleague, Nancy Marshall of Nancy Marshall Communications in Maine, said to me several weeks ago:
"As much as we are big fans of new technologies of communication, I would encourage you to remember that old fashioned face-to-face communications and personal relationships are more important than ever. Don't let emails, Twitter, or Facebook totally replace phone conversations or face-to-face meetings, and remember to connect on a human level with people who are important to you - your colleagues, friends, family and customers."
We enter into 2010 with high hopes and great expectations. We are surrounded by a fabulous staff, wonderful clients, great friends and a loving family. We are truly blessed and we wish the very best to you and yours this new year!

With the dawn of a new year, there is a lot of buzz about marketing in 2010. The "blogsphere" is flooded with questions like, "What will be the most effective marketing media in 2010," and, "Will traditional media become obsolete," and "Where are advertisers going to spend in 2010."
Among these marketing predictions are:
-
The rise of mobile marketing and mobile websites: This will be a pretty big one and some are even saying that the impact of mobile marketing will surpass that of social media. Aubrey recently wrote a post that introduces you to Mobile Marketing and Your Website.
-
Relationship marketing and customer service: This necessity continues to grow as social media gives EVERY customer a louder voice and influence.
-
Experimentation: When it comes to new technologies, sometimes experimentation is the best way to see if they work for your marketing.
-
Social media and SEO: Social media and SEO have advanced past the point of being mere buzz words.

The variety of client requests we receive never ceases to amaze us, but some services are in higher demand than others. As we begin 2010, we're seeing an abundance of requests for long-form video and website design.
