What's New in BBM Studios

Under New Management

Vice President / Production Director
Tracy Mailloux

Under New Management is the title for my final installment of the Robert Sharp & Associates Newsletters. I have decided to further my education and move to the Windy City of Chicago where I will attend college and continue my path in video and film.

My tenure at RSA has been a wonderful time. Going back to college, and leaving home, was not an easy decision for me... I have made many friends while here, and all will be missed.

With me leaving, there will be some changes here at RSA, and all for the best. Vincent Tyson has taken the role of Operations Manager for the Video and SEO Departments. He will help handle many of the daily paper trails so that our editing team can do what they do best - be creative.

Also, to replace me as a shooting and editing guru, we hired Sean Coyne. Originally from Huron, South Dakota, Sean always had a passion for the film & video industry. He once borrowed his father's 8mm film camera to create stop-motion films with action figures as a child and also videotaped comedy sketches and physics experiments with friends for extra credit in high school. Sean attended SDSU on a theater scholarship and graduated with a degree in Radio/Television/Film. His experience in the media industry now spans two decades. Projects ranging from documentaries for TBS & PBS - Television specials for CBS - Commercials for A&E, Reebok & Golds Gym – Training Videos for eBay University & CNBC - Feature films for 20th Century Fox/Faith Films. Sean is now bringing his vast experience back to the Black Hills to be closer to family and be a part of the expanding industry here.

Ok, let 's get down to our showcase. It has been a busy, busy summer for us. Between the Fairs and the Rally, summer almost snuck by us (But we did manage to get at least one sunburn). We also spent a lot of time up in North Dakota doing many projects up there. One of those projects was titled, "I do it for you," for the North Dakota Department of Transportation. The premise of this ad was not to push a hard-nosed officer telling you not to speed, drink and drive, or wear your seat belt, but rather to remind you why the officers are out there. They do it to protect your kids, your family, and your safety. Watch the ad and be reminded of why they are out there.

The second spot we are showcasing is also for the North Dakota Department of Transportation. This ad is to inform and encourage parents on ways to communicate with their teens about underage drinking. Watch the ad, and if you have a teenager yourself, check out the website, also created by RSA, for the help you need (I am sure North Dakota won't mind if South Dakotans view it). www.parentslead.org

Finally, It is that magical time of year again. That's right, they're back, the Rapid City Rush for their second exciting season. Get your season tickets now and enjoy the most exciting sport ever to be in Rapid City! Check out the commercial, then log onto www.rapidcityrush.com

Well, this wraps up this newsletter. Again, thanks for being part of my wonderful experience while I was at Robert Sharp's, and I hope to stay in touch with you all.

Regards,
Tracy Mailloux
