RSA Happenings

Second Quarter ’09 has been anything but dull. We have undergone many changes – from personnel to additional training to all-around new experiences.

Alliance of Marketing Agencies

Robert and Stacey Sharp traveled to Chicago in May for the Alliance of Marketing Agencies conference. Robert, along with agency owners from New York, Milwaukee, Akron, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, Maine, Carmel, CA and Taos, NM, gather bi-annually to discuss new strategies, trends, and business operations. It is a wonderful opportunity to have a network of agencies to share ideas with. Along with day-to-day business operations, topics of discussions center on co-branding to stretch advertising budgets, new forms of media, and of course, internet marketing strategies. You can read some of the take-aways from this conference on our blog.

Employees

Jillian Anderson has been promoted to our Online Interactive and Internet Marketing team. She has been working with this department for close to two years while stationed at the front desk as Office Manager. For those of you that call: I know that you will miss her, but she’s only a tweet away.

Vincent Tyson has also been promoted again. Though he works great wherever we put him, he shines best in team building. Our new Operations Manager, Vincent will be keeping the machine well oiled as we grow and change. Vincent is an excellent communicator and has many years of experience, and we are glad to have him on our team!

Natalie Rooks comes to Robert Sharp & Associates after acquiring her degree in Public Relations and Economics from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu. A prolific world traveler, while abroad she wrote a column that logged her adventures of living life as a foreigner. As a project manager Natalie combines her creativity, writing and analytical skills to produce a high standard of service for her clients. Her dedication to a campaign guarantees an exceptional product.

Kortni Kauer joins us as a project manager. Kortni ‘s customer service and public relations skills were developed over several years of pharmaceutical sales and assignment with a local internet service provider. Her professional manner and organizational competence bring a valuable measure of control to our fast-paced environment. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing from National American University.

Patrik Suiter joins the search engine marketing department with credentials developed over 27 years as a secondary and college teacher of English, History and Political Science. Pat received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education from Northern State University in Aberdeen and his Master of Public Administration Degree from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.

Interns

We have the joy of working with Melanie Schwietert again this year. This summer is her second year interning with RSA. She is currently finishing her business management and marketing degree through Black Hills State University. Her favorite part of college is this summer internship with us. Ah, we love you, too, Melanie.

Amy Colgan is currently interning as a Graphic Designer. Amy is studying graphic design and advertising at South Dakota Sate University. She is proving to be an excellent addition to our creative team and we'll be sad to see her head back to school.

Robert Headrick, or "Little Robert" as Tracy calls him, worked with our production team as an intern this summer. Robert is studying Digital Cinema at John Brown University in Arkansas. Before coming to the USA for college, Robert grew up in Tanzania, Kenya and Germany.

Julia Paulsen also worked with us for several weeks this summer as an intern. She helped us out with various projects from data entry and media placement to covering the front desk and developing client proposals. We will miss her, too.
