Workin' For A Livin

Vice President / Production Director
Tracy Mailloux

Despite the economy, work has been fast paced and busy for us... but it hasn't come easy. We are all working as hard and as fast as we can to battle the tightening of the belt.

Some clients keeping us busy are The Rapid City Rush, South Dakota Lottery, Novak Sanitary Service, RCS Construction, Neugebauer's, Western Dakota Tech, Shooter's Steakhouse, The Black Hills Sports Show, The Black Hills Stock Show, and Ashley Furniture, just to name a few. We're also working on a couple very interesting projects we'd like to highlight:

Jack Sitch has been working diligently to complete a video project for Dr. Edward Whillock. Dr. Whillock, a local Periodontist, has developed a brand new product called "Provent." This oral health system is designed to fight the bacteria that cause periodontal and gum disease. In addition, Dr. Whillock is also working on developing his own electric toothbrush. He will be releasing his product both nationally, and internationally, and if you get the chance to visit with him, you'll soon realize how his product will benefit you. His website will be up soon, so stay tuned to www.proventmethod.com.

An awesome project that our very own Ken Jones has completed was for the Rapid Transit System for use in their Rapid trolley. As the trolley makes it's way around town, a GPS driven device will cue into the trolley's location, and automatically give information audibly about interesting facts to that area. Very cool! So now you ask, how does Mr. Jones know how to program a GPS system. Well, Ken is the owner/operator of his very own business called SmartAlec Adventure Guides. He also heads up Urban Adventure Races, Black Hills GPS Tours for the entire Black Hills and of course the Tour of Lights around Rapid City during the Holiday Season. Check out his website, www.smartalectours.com, and see what SmartAlec and Robert Sharp can do for you!

Ok, now to show off some of our work.

The first commercial is for RCS Construction. Originally, we planned on shooting outside, but it turned out to be cold and snowing that week, so we improvised. Thanks to the fine folks over at Black Hills Federal Credit Union, one of RCS Construction's Clients, we were able to shoot everything inside their building, and the commercial turned out great. RCS has been renovating the old Speigel Building for BHFCU, and it looks fantastic.

Commercial number two is for the South Dakota Lottery. Back in January we kicked off their "Sweet Dreams," campaign. A fun commercial to illustrate that no matter where you are, your lucky numbers could be anywhere, and just dream about what you could do if you won.

I've also included a short form video our department produced for The Western Dakota Tech Foundation. The final piece recently won a Merit Award from the Service Industry Advertising Awards. Way to go guys!

Finally, I traveled to the east side of the state to shoot a couple commercials for the good people over at Novak Sanitary Service. These commercials focused on their RecycleBank program, where you get rewarded for recycling. I hope that Rapid City follows suit and does the same in the near future. Not only is it good for the environment, but you get something back. Check out the commercial and see what I mean.

I could continue to brag and showcase more work, there are just so many exciting things I could tell you about (like our brand new High-Bright Tele-prompter that can be used indoors as well as outdoors), but I need to wrap it up with this edition of the newsletter. However, I will leave you with one last thought... a quote from Jim Rohn; "You don't get paid for the hour. You get paid for the value you bring to the hour."

Regards,
Tracy Mailloux
