We won an award! You heard right, we won an award! However, the crazy thing is, we didn't even enter it into any contest.

Western Dakota Tech was so pleased with the commercial work we had done for them, they entered our work into an international contest (Hermes Creative Awards). Out of approximately 4,000 entries, we were one of the few to win a Golden Hermes Award.

The Gold Award is presented to those entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm. So kudos to us, and I am pleased that we were able to produce an outstanding commercial for Steve Buchholz and the entire crew at Western Dakota Tech.

It's a boy! That's right, we hired a new member to our creative team -- Tyler Hoffman.

Tyler is currently working on a Mass Communications degree with an emphasis in telecommunications, and a Minor in Business Administration from Black Hills State University. He is expecting to graduate in May of 2009.

Although he is just part-time during the school year, Tyler will be a valuable asset. He is ready to run; being able to shoot video and edit on an AVID. With our guidance here, and his ability to learn quickly, Tyler will become a force to reckon with.

For creative work this month, I wanted to showcase the Western Dakota spot again for those who might not have seen it yet. Other fun spots we wanted to show this time around were for Reptile Gardens. All I can say is that they were fun to do. Watch the videos, and you will definitely get a good laugh. Finally, we highlight a spot for local grub and pub, Shooters Steakhouse & Grill. This one was a lot of fun to shoot with plenty of hand-held, on-the-fly camera work. The client was ecstatic with the final product and so were we.
