Things You May Not Know About Kandi:
-
Live music is some of the best therapy for Kandi.
-
Kandi’s biggest addiction in life is probably her morning caffeine.
-
It’s soda, not pop.
-
Don’t listen to what they say: she doesn’t have a Minnesota accent.
-
One of Kandi’s goals in life is to see each of the Seven Wonders of the World that still stand.
Kandi was born and raised in Jeffers, a small town in southern Minnesota. No stranger to RSA, Kandi worked as an intern here as part of her coursework at South Dakota State University.
After three short months as an intern in Rapid City, Kandi fell in love with the Black Hills. She moved west immediately after graduating from SDSU in May 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in advertising.
Growing up on a farm, Kandi spent her summers locked outside with just her brother, a few kittens and her shoes if she was lucky. Days at the lake were like a second home. She plans on spending her time in the Black Hills the same way. Kandi’s even looking forward to the South Dakota winters so she can finally ride her snowmobile on hills rather than flat fields.
A small town girl with a city attitude, Kandi has an affinity for almost any art or music she can get her hands on. When she isn’t outside, Kandi loves to read a good book or spend time with her good friends Mario and Luigi.
