Heather was born and raised in the thriving metropolis Grenora, ND (pop. 200), and spent her childhood playing in the mud with her Tonka truck and Dracula doll.
Growing up in a small town where everyone knew everyone else's business helped her grow into the hardworking, independent and kind-hearted person she is today.
Heather attended Bismarck State College for two years, earning an Associates Degree in Commercial Art. She moved on to Dickinson State University and graduated with a University Studies degree and started working at the local newspaper.
Hoping for milder winters, Heather moved to South Dakota to work for the Rapid City Journal and remained there 8 years. Her desire to grow as a graphic artist brought her to RSA.
